Dai Dai is a food- and drink-focused storytelling studio that believes every story is worth telling—and telling well. We don’t just document; we immerse, experiencing a story firsthand before bringing it to life.

By listening, observing, and engaging deeply with our subjects, we ensure that every project feels as real and vibrant as the people and places behind it. Whether tracing the roots of a dish, documenting a craft, or capturing the spirit of a place, our work is built on curiosity, connection, and authenticity.

Dai Dai is led by Laura Scherb and Colin Hanner, a wife-and-husband team whose writing and photography have been featured in Esquire, Eater, Thrillist, Edible Chicago, Different Leaf, and Chicago Reader, among others.
